Music by The Piano Brothers

Margaret was born on November 22, 1942 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Jasper and Lucille Sutton. She graduated from Forgan High School in 1960. She went on to graduate in 1964 from Panhandle A&M in Goodwell with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1972, with a Master’s in Special Education. She married her high school sweetheart in 1960, shortly after their high school graduation. They welcomed one son into the world, whom she loved dearly.

Margaret’s life was devoted to children; her school children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren and was always happy to have them at her house. She was always willing to babysit and hosted many family birthdays and holidays even while dealing with severe pain from rheumatoid arthritis, which she battled for 52 years.

Margaret was a dedicated and devoted teacher for 53 years. She was passionate about educating her students.  She loved teaching and her students loved her. Margaret changed the lives of many children as she taught at Ulysses, KS., Sun City, KS., Johnson, KS., Tyrone, and Forgan. Her Special Education students knew their lives were improved because of Margaret. Students would often transfer in to Forgan each year because they knew they would be helped by her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Lucille Sutton and two brothers, Frankie Klotz and Douglas Sutton.

Margaret Faye (Sutton) Nichols, 75, of Forgan, peacefully departed this life July, 9, 2017.

Margaret leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Bill Nichols; son and daughter-in-law Billy Dean and Jeri Jo of Forgan; sisters-in-law Betty Klotz of Turpin, Cheryl Sutton of Potwin, Ks., and Carolyn Ritterbush of Forgan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Bonna Nichols of Beaver. Three grandchildren Nicholas Nichols and wife Mindy of Forgan, Tenille Nichols of Liberal, and Toni Nichols of Forgan. Six great-grandchildren Natalie Nichols, Jocelyn Ulery, Finleigh Castillo, Kwenton Frydendall, Alexis Nichols and Taden Nichols.

Margaret fought the good fight, now the Lord has taken her home where she will no longer be in pain.

We will miss you Grandma!
