Music by The Piano Brothers

Max Earl Greenlee was born on November 12, 1936 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Loyd and Nola Marie Greenlee. He grew up in Buffalo with his sister and two younger brothers. He spent part of his young adulthood travelling to various cities and working different jobs. He started out his meat cutting career in Buffalo, Oklahoma before making a career out of this in several other cities before ultimately settling down in Beaver, Oklahoma. A few years after he arrived in Beaver, he met his wife, Cheryl, and her three children. Max and Cheryl were married on June 28, 1980.

Max took great pride in whatever he did, especially farming and ranching. He liked Herefords the most, but always had an arrangement of cattle, varying from Angus to longhorns. Raising cattle was his passion. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but had the greatest joy spending time with his grandchildren. He was very involved in their lives whether it was simply picking them up after school or attending their school functions. Max was very proud of all of their accomplishments.

Max was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ricky Don Greenlee and John Blake Greenlee; his father, Loyd Greenlee, and mother, Nola Marie Greenlee; and his wife, Cheryl.

He is survived by his sister, Myrna Hanson of New Iberia, LA; two brothers, Ray Greenlee of Del City, OK, and Rex Greenlee and wife Alice, of Liberal, KS; four children, Karen Greenlee, of Woodward, OK, Shawn Robison and wife Jennifer, of Ada, OK, Mark Robison and wife Becky, of Forgan, OK, and Kim Pierce, of Beaver, OK; four grandchildren, Shayla Greenlee, of Glenpool, OK, Drew Pierce and Grady Conrad of Norman, OK, Cort Pierce and wife Kendra, of Woodward, OK, Jaden Pierce, of Beaver, OK, Kimberley Vandergrift of Stillwater, OK, Austin Vandergrift of Ada, OK, and Tyler Vandergrift of Ada, OK; great-granddaughter, Kenlee Pierce, of Woodward, OK; extended family, Rosemary Greenlee and Matt Greenlee of Del City, OK. He also had a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Max had many wonderful qualities, but probably his greatest is the mentoring of his two younger brothers, his children and grandchildren. He was a friend, brother, and father figure to all of us. He was a blessing to anyone who met him and we will miss him greatly.
