LoElla “Carol” Hall Stapp was born April 1, 1933 at the Hall family homestead, east of Beaver Oklahoma near Camp Creek. Carol was the daughter of Charles W. Hall Sr. and Lillian May (Lile) Hall. As you can imagine, having a birthday on April 1 brought many jokes through the years and those began the day she was born! Her father “Charley” announced he had a daughter however for some time people thought he was joking and it was a son.

Carol was the eldest of three children, she along with her siblings worked with their parents on the family homestead while attending Beaver Public Schools. Carol graduated with the class of 1951, serving as class President.

On December 22, 1950, Carol married the love of her life, Doyle Stapp, at the Mountain View country church in Beaver County Oklahoma. After Doyle was discharged from the Army they made their home in Beaver  where their two daughters Randa and Sandy were born and raised.

Carol worked at several businesses in Beaver, her main focus was in Banking and she always enjoyed bookkeeping and balancing all accounts to the penny. All the while being a full time wife, and mother, cooking, sewing and teaching her daughters life skills that have served them well.

Carol was a member of the First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and served as a Deaconess.

After retirement Carol worked full time with Doyle farming and ranching.

Family was always Carol’s love. She always attended her daughter’s, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities being their most supportive cheerleader and always looking forward to the next big event.

Those who have preceded her in death are, her parents, brother Charles W. Hall ll, sister Katherine Joan Tucker, and granddaughter Delta Dawn Stapp.

LoElla “Carol” Hall Stapp departed this earthly life on October 23, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 87.

Carol leaves to celebrate her life, her husband Doyle of the home, daughters Randa Wakefield and Mike of Forgan, Oklahoma, Sandy VanNest and Kevin of Hickory Creek, Texas, grandchildren Cliff Wakefield of Forgan, Oklahoma, Devin Wakefield and Mendy of Cashion, Oklahoma, Justin VanNest and Kimberly of Hickory Creek, Texas. Great-grandchildren Matt and Bryan Morris, Michael, McKenzie, Lillian, and Madelynn Wakefield, Liam, Donovan, and Sophia VanNest. Great Great-grandchildren Jaxon and Maclyn Morris.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Carol’s name to the Beaver County Fire Departments, PO Box 338, Beaver, Oklahoma 73932
