Beryl Wayne Meredith

July 17, 1937 — December 31, 2014

Wayne "Old Man" Meredith was born in Columbus, Kansas on July 17, 1937 to Mary Agnes Napier and Charles E. Most of his life was spent in the Topeka, Kansas and Tyrone, Oklahoma area.  Wayne worked many years until his retirement as a fabricator/welder with the Santa Fe Railroad.  He always enjoyed his racing, spending time with family and friends, and being an amateur radio operator.  Wayne was not only a driver, but a race car flagman in the Topeka area for many years.  "KB0IZJ" as he was known by on the ham radio airways, was a member of the Kadiddlehopper and Sparks amateur radio clubs.

On December 31, 2014, Wayne took the checkered flag, and was victorious in his final race as he entered the house of his Heavenly Father.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and family members.

Those waiting for their reunion with Wayne include his wife, Janice Meredith, his children Darrell Meredith and wife Kathi, of Topeka, Ks, Wanda Mattox and husband Alan, of Tecumseh, Ks, Cathy Earls and husband Justin, of Beaver, Ok, Barbara Matzke and husband John, of Grand Junction, Co, and Diane Mead and husband Rick, of Mineral, Washington; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grand children, several brothers, a sister, and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
