Betty Lee Nichols

July 22, 1937 — December 13, 2021

Mother Betty L. Nichols was born the second of twelve children to Amos and Linnie Norwood. She attended Pelahatchie High School. She was overjoyed when she was blessed with a sweet baby girl.

Mother Betty loved going to church, caring for others, cooking, talking, singing, and spending time with her family especially her great-grandson. Later in life, she became a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
Mother Betty departed this life on December 13, 2021 at home with her loving daughter and son-in-law. Mother Betty’s parent’s: Amos and Linnie Norwood, three brothers: Billy Ray Norwood, John Norwood, and Amos Norwood Jr, as well as two sisters: Bertha Mae Ervin and Eva Grace Allen all predeceased her.
She leaves her precious cherished memories with her only daughter: Lisa (Bill) Wesley of Beaver, OK; one granddaughter: Ralshania (Stevie) McLaurin, one great-grandson: Andre’ Sanders Jr., and two god great-grandbabies: Xenia I. Rusher and Logan Ralph A. Hemphill all of Houston, TX; one brother: Elder John (Geannie) Norwood of Denver, CO; five sister’s: Zella(the late LC) Roby of Las Vegas, NV, Inez (Fred) Evans of Memphis, TN, Aster Thomas and Christine (Mel) Rosa of St. Paul, MN, Ernestine (James) Payne of Newark, DE; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
