David Clark Driscoll

May 10, 1938 — January 18, 2025

Buffalo, Oklahoma

David Clark Driscoll was born May 10, 1938 in Turley, Oklahoma to Betty Jean (Petty) and Dennis Manford Driscoll. He attended Turley Public School. After school, he had various jobs in the Tulsa area until he moved to Buffalo with his then wife and two sons, Ricky Lynn and Marty Neil along with his mother, Betty and her husband, Joe Martin and purchased the Texaco Service Station. His wife and two sons moved back to eastern Oklahoma after a time in the late 1950’s. During this time, Dave bought a lone cattle truck and started hauling loads as often as he could while Betty ran the service station. This began his life long love of cattle hauling and trucks in general. In 1961, he met Lorna Patterson and they were married in December 1962 after she graduated high school. To this union, one daughter was born, Shelly Faith, who was the apple of his eye and she never doubted it, not one day. She was his dirt bike buddy, his trucking companion and she slept many a mile to the roar and hum of the big engine in the sleeper.

David was preceded in death by his grandson, David Keith, his son, Ricky Lynn, his parents, Betty and Dennis, his brother, Don, a nephew, Michael Joe, a woman he considered one of his favorite people on the planet, his mother-in-law, Dorothy Patterson and his friend he considered another brother, Hal.

He is survived by his wife, Lorna, of the home; daughter Shelly and her husband, Rusty of Beaver, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Chastyn Rushell Thomas and her partner, Roman, of Beaver, Oklahoma; son, Marty Neil of Oklahoma; brother, Steve Martin of Terralton, Oklahoma along with a host of nieces and nephews and another friend he loved like a brother, Frank.

Dave gave his life to the Lord in full service in the mid-eighties and knew exactly where he was going and was never afraid to get there. He finally stepped forward and thru his hands around the Kingdom he served or many years, Jesus Christ on January 18, 2025 and he is now a guardian angel to his loved ones left on Earth and enjoying missed loved ones in Heaven and waiting for the rest of us to arrive.
