Donna Bell Penner

Donna Bell (Gift) Penner passed away on December 17, 2020 in Louisburg, Kansas. She was born on December 22, 1935 to Chalmer Ben (C.B.) Gift Maud Mae (Crum) Gift. She graduated from Balko High School in 1954. She married Leroy Edward (Bud) Penner, from Balko, Oklahoma on April 9, 1954. To this union, three girls were born, Peggy Jo Penner Chapman of Louisburg, Kansas, Patti Kay Penner Wilson and husband, Keith, Of Paola, Kansas, and Pamela (Pam) Jan Penner Blackburn of Louisburg, Kansas. She had five grand kids, Randall Tyler Chapman and wife Stephanie of Guymon, Oklahoma, Tera Jo Chapman Anderson and husband Kyle of Louisburg, Kansas, Ta’ Faun Lewis Harms of Paola, Kansas, Kelsey Marie Blackburn of Lindsborg, Kansas and Shealee Kay Wilson Bailey of Oregon.  She had seven great grand kids, Haley Chapman of Craig, Colorado,  Braeden Fields, Stillwater, Oklahoma, Megan Anderson of Ottawa, Kansas, Justin Anderson of Louisburg, Kansas, Brett Fields of Guymon, Oklahoma, Braden Anderson of Louisburg, Kansas, and Reese Chapman, of Guymon, Oklahoma.  She also has a many nieces and nephews.  She is survived by one sister in law, Mary Ann Scott of Union City, Oklahoma.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Mabel LaFaun Karber, Leon Gift, Charles Gift, and Ivan Gift. 

Donna and Leroy farmed in the Balko community for many years before they both went to work for the post office.  They started their postal careers in Balko (Boyd) and eventually transferred to Guymon.  Leroy and Donna retired on the same day in October 1992.  Donna will be dearly missed by many friends, family and coworkers.
