Ernest “Dusty” T. Brinkley was born on January 3, 1949 in Amarillo, Texas to Orlan and Betty (Robb) Brinkley. He grew up in Forgan, Oklahoma and graduated with the Class of 1967. After graduation, he entered the United States Army, serving three tours in Vietnam, 1968-1970. He was proud of the award he received for being the last solder from Company 564th Platoon to leave Vietnam.
Upon his return to Beaver County, he worked in the oilfield for various companies. He enjoyed working as a licensed pyrotecnician and he loved making fireworks for family and friends.
He looked forward to reunions with his Vietnam brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his brothers, Gary Getz, Joseph Getz, James “Rusty” Brinkley and his Vietnam brother, Gary Stafford.
Dusty passed from this life on October 19th, 2021 at the Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma from complications of Agent Orange.
He is survived by Paula Brinkley, mother of his children; his children, Krystie (Brad) Brinkley, Chad (Courtney) Brinkley; his grandchildren, Zara Beth Brinkley, Cody Brinkley and Jaxson Brinkley; his brothers, Tom (Glenda) Getz, and Carl Crites; his sisters, Sandra Byrd and Robbie (Elmer) Hancock and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He is also survived by his Vietnam brothers, Jerry Isbell, Ron Kassabaum, Warren Frohn and Barney Sims.

Memorial Services will be held November 27th, 2021 at the Forgan Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. Family and friends will be welcome at the Forgan Community Center following both services.
Graveside services will be held after the Memorial Service.
