Guadalupe Hernandez Chavez

Guadalupe Hernández Chávez was born in Parral, Chihuahua, México on February 26, 1939. She passed at the age of 83, on June 24, 2022, at her second home in Turpin, Oklahoma, USA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, José Hernández and Herlinda Chávez, her sister Guillermina, her brother Arturo, as well as her husband Eloy Villalobos Chaparro. She leaves her only daughter Eva Gabriela (Gaby) and her husband Santiago (Chago) Ponce, her grandchildren Paola (24), Valery (14), Daniel (13), and Sophya (4), her sisters Josefina, Lourdes, Maria Herlinda (Mariquis), her brothers Francisco and Antonio, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her departure leaves us with great pain and questions, but at the same time shows us how big her heart was and how much she loved and protected us. Only she and God our Lord know what she experienced in recent months.

Her unwavering faith, her strength, her courage, her enthusiasm for life, love, and the hope of seeing her loved ones again made it possible for her to make this long, busy, and tiring road. Her incredible love was shown in the last weeks in which she attended and enjoyed each of her grandchildren’s school events and sporting activities.

We must understand and accept her will. She was always an independent and self-sufficient woman; this is proof of it. Until the last minute of her existence, she did what she wanted and as she saw fit, so much that we are sure that she chose the day and time of her departure. 

She was a blessed woman, who gave herself to God our Lord and left in peace. Just like her, we must trust that she is in the Lord’s home, in a better place where there is no suffering or worries.

We honor her life with the unforgettable memories that she left us because she was a great person. Very loved and respected, her main gift was always serving; she was there ready to help no matter what.

Guadalupe Hernández Chávez nació en Parral, Chihuahua, México el 26 de Febrero de 1939, falleció a la edad de 83 años, el 24 de Junio del 2022 en su segunda casa en Turpin, Oklahoma, Estados Unidos de América.

Le preceden sus padres, José Hernández y Herlinda Chávez, sus hermanos Guillermina y Arturo, así como su esposo Eloy Villalobos Chaparro. Deja a su única hija Eva Gabriela (Gaby) y a su esposo Santiago (Chago) Ponce, a sus nietos Paola (24), Valery (14), Daniel (13) y Sophya (4), a sus hermanos Josefina, Lourdes, María Herlinda (Mariquis), Francisco y Antonio y varios sobrinos.

Su partida nos deja un gran dolor y muchas interrogantes, pero a la vez nos demuestra el gran corazón que tenía y lo mucho que nos amaba y protegia. Solo ella y Dios nuestro señor saben que fue lo que vivió estos últimos meses.

Su fe inquebrantable, su fortaleza, su valentía, su entusiasmo por la vida, el amor y la ilusión de volver a ver a los suyos hicieron posible que recorriera este camino tan largo, ajetreado y cansado, especialmente en las últimas semanas en las que asistió y disfruto como siempre cada uno de los eventos escolares o actividades deportivas de sus nietos.

Debemos comprender y aceptar su voluntad, siempre fue una mujer independiente y autosuficiente y esto es prueba de ello, hasta el ultimo minuto de su existencia hizo lo que quiso y como mejor le parecía, tanto que estamos seguros de que ella escogió el día y la hora de su partida.

Fue una mujer bendecida, se entregó a Dios nuestro señor y se fue en paz. Así como ella debemos confiar que ella ya esta en la casa del padre, en un mejor lugar donde no hay sufrimiento ni preocupaciones.

Honramos su memoria con los recuerdos inolvidables que nos dejó por que fue una gran persona, muy querida y respetada pues su don principal fue el servir, siempre, estaba ahí lista para ayudar sin importar nada.
