Guy Max Ritter

November 28, 1952 — October 20, 2012

Guy Max Ritter was born in Beaver, Okla. on the 28th of November 1952 to CL and Beverly Ritter. The first few years were spent in Texas but the family moved back to Beaver where he started school. Guy spent his informative years growing up in Beaver where he knew everyone and everyone knew him. It was an ideal place to live where he had many classmates and friends. He was socially active in school and out. He stayed busy with cub scouts, boy scouts, wrestling, basketball and football. Unfortunately, he was not immune to tragedy, which came early with the loss of his best friend, Jackie Hand. He felt that a part of him died that day and truly he was never the same.

Guy graduated from Beaver High School in 1971 and was drafted into the military in 1972. He came home with an honorable discharge from the US Army in 1974 and shortly after married Kim Walters. They were blessed with a son, Mason Guy Ritter, on May 7th, 1975. Guy and Kim were divorced a few years later and he never married again.

Guy spent the rest of his life thinking that he really didn’t deserve to be here and treated himself accordingly. Despite that fact, he had more friends than you can count and I don’t think he ever met a stranger.

Guy died in Claude, TX. on October 20th 2012. He was survived by his father, CL Ritter, his little brother, Rex Ritter, and two sons, Mason Guy Moore and Guy Max Ritter II. He will be greatly missed and still loved.
