Jane Jamison was born October 19th, 1950, in Beaver, Oklahoma, to George Junior and Rita Royce Reed. She was the middle child of triplets. Jane attended Beaver Schools from first grade through high school, graduating in 1968. While in school she participated in many activities, including basketball and track. She especially loved to run.
Jane was baptized into the First Christian Church of Beaver at a young age, where she was a lifetime member. One of her favorite things was attending a weekly bible study with other members of her church.
Shortly after graduation from high school, Jane married Billy Dan Jamison. They had two daughters, Kristy and Tracy.
During her lifetime, Jane held several positions of employment. In each endeavor, she gave her all. She worked for Dr. Ed Calhoon, Northern Natural Gas, Enron, Beaver Public Schools, and Nichols Water Service. Most recently she was a dispatcher for the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, retiring after ten years of service.
Jane passed away on September 3rd, 2018, at Beaver County Memorial Hospital at the age of 67. Family was the greatest joy in her life and she was devoted to those she loved the most. She was preceded in death by her “HERO” her father Junior Reed, a nephew, Michael Reed, and a niece, Lori Fletcher. Survivors include her mother, Rita Royce Reed, older brother Gene Reed and wife Karen, younger brother Dean Reed and wife Chris, daughters Kristy Smyres and husband Troy, and Tracy Porter, along with four grandchildren, Trevor Smyres and fiancé Katie, Emily Smyres and fiancé Ben, Devyn Porter, and Reese Porter, as well as a host of other family members and friends.
Condolences to Jane's family. Deborah went with Aunt Lois to see and hold Jane and her brothers right after they were born. I was privileged to have a chance to teach and coach Jane. Yes, as many have said she could run. Jane and here friends put track on the map in Oklahoma. Jane was loved by all. Coach Cletus Carter

My condolences to Gene and Dean and others of the family. I know Jane will be missed by her family, many friends, and classmates. I was happy to see her at our class reunion dinner this spring. I know she endured much and I'm glad she is at peace.

To: Rita Royce, Gene, Dean, family and friends;
It was very sad upon hearing about the loss of a dear childhood friend. It was fun and exciting growing up with Jane as she was so competitive, loved to run and was very fast. Even at our 30th high school reunion she was still challenging me to a footrace just like we were ten years old again. We know that Jane is in a better place. She will always be loved and remembered by those of us whose lives she had touched.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends.

Rita Royce, Dean, Gene and family,
I an saddened by the loss of Jane. Even though our adult lives have rarely intersected, my memories of each of you are vivid. Jane was a wonderful girl, full of laughter, a sense of adventure, and fun during our years as children and teens. Please know each of you is in my heart at this difficult time.
