Kevin Todd McCay was born on August 27, 1959 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Kevin Leon and Lavonda Lou (Fronk) McCay.. He graduated Beaver High School in 1978. He ran the Texaco Gas Station in Beaver and helped farm and haul hay.
He moved to El Paso, Texas in January of 1999 and began trucking with his father. In 2005, he began his business, Saddle Up Truck Line and drove the forty-eight states hauling federally cleared loads for Fort Bliss and all other military installations across the Continental 48. Todd was a generous and steadfast man, willing to give you the shirt off his back.
Todd is preceded in death by his father, Kevin Leon McCay. Todd died January 13, 2014 in Canton, Mississippi while delivering a load.
He is survived by his grandmother, Thelma Fronk; his mother, Lavonda Lou McCay; his children, Brett and Keela; grandchildren Evan and Avery; his sister, Rhonda McCay; nieces Tracey Brandes (Jason Brandes) and Ashley Whitaker (Beau Whitaker); great nieces and nephew, McKenzie Laas, Gavin McCay Brandes, Peyton and Kaydence Whitaker; numerous aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
