Patricia Ann Lyle

Patricia Ann Whittaker Lyle passed away peacefully in Denver, Colorado, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on July 18, 1942, in Beaver, Oklahoma, to Herschel and Bessie Whittaker.

Pat was raised in the Logan Community of Beaver County and attended schools in Darrouzett, Texas, and Beaver, Oklahoma and college at the University of Oklahoma. The values she learned growing up in that close-knit rural area shaped the kindness, resilience, faith, and strong work ethic that defined her throughout her life.

First and foremost, Pat devoted herself to being a loving mother and homemaker. She treasured the years spent raising her family; always present at school functions, home-room parties, sports activities, 4-H events and horse shows. When time allowed, she worked at the family accounting practice, First Security Bank and Pooh's Place. After moving to Texas in 1990, Pat worked for Colwell and Associates and Stridde, Callin and Associates, where she was valued for her dedication and cheerful spirit. In 2006, she relocated to Moore, Oklahoma and began what would become her most cherished professional chapter at Biocide International. She remained there until her retirement in 2019, taking great pride in her work and in being part of the Biocide family. Whether at home, at her children's events, or in the workplace, her kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in others led to many treasured and lasting friendships.

Faith was the cornerstone of Pat's life. No matter where she lived, she was actively involved in the church, serving faithfully in many capacities; including Vacation Bible School and other youth activities. However, her favorite ministry was caring for children in the nursery at First Baptist Church of Beaver. She loved rocking babies, comforting young children, and sharing Christ's love. Her kindness and patience touched countless families through the years.

Pat treasured time with family and friends and delighted in opening her home to others. As the longtime host of family holiday gatherings, she created traditions and memories that will be cherished for generations. Her home was always welcoming, her table always full, and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Bessie Whittaker, and her beloved sister, Peggy Whittaker Munter. Pat is survived by her children, Susan Lyle of Napa, California; Dean Lyle of Aurora, Colorado; and Erika Munter Hesseltine (Scooter) of Orange Grove, Texas; her cherished granddaughters, Ashlyn Hesseltine of Lincoln, Nebraska; Elise Hesseltine of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Mikayla Hesseltine of Atlanta, Georgia, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life; as well as many extended family members and dear friends, all of whom were blessed by her love, kindness, and steadfast friendship. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Ivy at Mountainview and Brighton Hospice Care of Denver, especially Nurses Ana and Natasha, for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.

Pat will be remembered for her unwavering faith and unconditional love for her family, friends, church family, and community. While her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in the assurance of her eternal home and find comfort in the many memories she leaves behind.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Beaver, Oklahoma, followed by a graveside service officiated by Pastor Read Barby on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pioneer Cemetery in Beaver. Those wishing to honor Pat's memory may send flowers or if a monetary donation is preferred, to the First Baptist Church of Beaver or Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. These ministries held a special place in her heart and reflect her lifelong faith, compassion, and commitment to serving others.
