Patricia Sue Sandusky was born March 17, 1941, to Fred & Ruby Plummer in Burden, Kansas. The Family later moved to Wichita, KS when she was 9 months old and remained there until she met and married Gerald Sandusky. This marriage took place on September 30, 1961, and through this union she gained two stepdaughters, Athena & Tammy. Karla came along in 1963, and they adopted Jeff in 1969 making their family complete.

Pat worked as a nurse’s aide in Satanta, KS. Later the couple moved from there to Hugoton, KS where she started her career at Ideal Food Stores. She continued working at Ideal in Hugoton until they moved to Forgan, OK in 1979. After the couple moved to Forgan she transferred to the Ideal Food Store in Beaver, OK and worked there until she retired in 1984. After her retirement from Ideal she took on the position of Administrator of the Beaver County Sheltered Workshop from 1985 until 2004 when she retired from the Workshop. She said her years there were interesting and she loved all her clients.

Pat enjoyed a host of hobbies, crafts, and interests over the course of her 84 years including ceramics, knitting, sewing, crocheting, painting, gardening, and the list could go on and on. She would try anything and wanted everyone else to join in on the fun with her. She was an incredible storyteller and would strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a member of the Cycle Club with Gerald. Through this club they enjoyed many years traveling the country with that group of friends on their motorcycles. She was also a member of the Community Concerts of Liberal, Kansas and enjoyed getting others involved in that as well.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Sandusky, her parents Fred & Ruby Plummer, her in laws Robert & Velda Sandusky, two granddaughters Amy Lott & Staci Sandusky, and one grandson Gerald Condren.

Pat moved into the Beaver County Nursing Home on August 22, 2024, and passed away peacefully in her new home on August 14, 2025. She would tell everyone how much she loved being there and how much all the employees meant to her, she truly loved this new part of her life.

Pat is survived by four children. Daughter Karla Leisher & husband Brett of Beaver, OK, Son Jeff Sandusky & wife Shelby of Broken Arrow, OK, Daughter Athena Sandusky, of Tennessee, and Daughter Tammy Davis & husband Larry of Enid, OK. She is also survived by her sister Carmen Logue & Brother-in-law Ted of Wichita, KS, and her Sister-in-Law Carol Quillen of Hugoton, KS. Pat has nine Grandchildren, Twenty Great-grandchildren, and two Great Great-Grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives, friends including nieces and nephews.
