Paula June O'Brien

Paula June O'Brien was born April 22, 1938 to Paul and Jerry Bridwell in Beaver, OK.  Paula attended Forgan School from first grade through high school, graduating in 1956. She then embarked on her journey to becoming a nurse, attending Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing in Amarillo, Texas, graduating with a Registered Nurse degree.

While attending school in Amarillo Paula met the love of her life, Rick O'Brien. They were united in marriage in the Methodist Church in Forgan on July 5, 1958. They embarked on their life together, spending time and working in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Plano, Texas and Enid, Oklahoma. It was during those years they were blessed with two children, daughter Lori and son Mark.

Upon Rick's retirement they moved to Forgan and settled into Paula's childhood home where they lived happily for their remaining years. Paula continued to work in the nursing field in the Beaver County Nursing Home for several years. Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rick and her parents.

She departed this life as the result of an accident at her rural Forgan home on September 21, 2019.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori and husband, David and son, Mark and wife, Shawna; three grandchildren, Christina Snider, Sayre, Oklahoma, Luke and Addison O’Brien, Enid, Oklahoma; sister, Judy Taylor of Forgan, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends and her precious coffee crew.

So sad to hear of my long-time friends accident.  We were best friends in high school and continued that friendship long-distance through the years.  I am so saddened.
