Perthana Belle Desper

May 28, 1926 — April 27, 2022

Perthana Belle Desper was born May 28, 1926 at Dombey, Oklahoma.  She was the youngest child of 6 born to William and Carol Newell Kiser.  She was a 1946 graduate of Greenough High School and has been a lifetime resident of Beaver County, Oklahoma.  She attended Panhandle State College, Goodwell, Oklahoma two years and taught school at Eureka, Oklahoma on the War Relief Education Program. 

She married Otis Desper on June 8,1947 at Liberal, Kansas.  Otis and Perthana farmed for many years at Floris, Oklahoma. 

They moved to Beaver in 1975 and moved into their new house they built in 1976.  After they moved to Beaver, she started playing bridge.  She played bridge for about 25 years.  She loved sewing for her daughters.  Sometimes she would stay up all night sewing for a special occasion.  She could see a dress in a store and copy it and it would fit perfectly. She loved playing basketball with her grandchildren on the driveway until she was 70 and fell and Otis told her that was enough and she could only play horse. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Otis Desper, her parents, 3 sisters, Pearl Simmons, Betty DeLay, and Naomi Evans, 2 brothers, Bill Kiser and Gene Kiser, her lifetime friends and fishing buddies, Carl and Norma Jean Huling.

Perthana Belle Kiser Desper died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver. Oklahoma  

She is survived by three daughters Teresa  Evans and husband, Charlie of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Barbara Dowler and husband, Grant of Arnett, Oklahoma and Cathy Lockhart and husband, Jim of Beaver, Oklahoma;  10 Grandchildren Erin (Casey) Hernandez, Whitney (Ryan) Fairsheets, Colin Evans, Gina (Troy) White, Stacia (Dusty) Cole, Jaret (Elizabeth) Dowler, Christopher (Stefany) Desper, Zachary (Natalie) Jones, Nathan (Laura) Jones, Brock (Kari) Jones; 25 Great Grandchildren Harper Hernandez, Lucy Fairsheets, Hazel Fairsheets, Miles Fairsheets, Kyra Evans, Hunter (Tristen) White, Cooper White, Tyson White, Rowdy Cole, Kaylin Cole, Carlie Dowler, Jadyn Dowler, Brooks Dowler, Cody Desper, Bobby Desper, Isaiah Jones, Adam Jones, Preston Howard, Dakota Howard, Caden Jones, Blake Jones, Devan Walton, Kaelyn Niblett, Taryn Niblett, Tripp Jones. 

She is also survived by her caregiver Kelly Taylor and her housekeeper Lourdes Corralles.
