Roy Michael "Mike" McReynolds

September 16, 1948 — October 5, 2015

Roy Michael “Mike” McReynolds (67) was born on September 16, 1948 in Pampa, Texas to Raymond and LaJune McReynolds.  He lived a full life with his wife of 45 years, 4 children, and 12 grandchildren before his passing on October 5, 2015.  He is survived by his wife, Margy Ann Mayo McReynolds; his mother, LaJune McReynolds of Beaver, Oklahoma; an older sister, Burnell Hall (Jerry) of Forgan, Oklahoma; a younger brother, Greggory McReynolds(Suzie) of Forgan, Oklahoma; his daughter Marsha Johnson (Doug) of Savannah, Missouri; his daughter, Malayna Struckman (Larry) of Grafton, Wisconsin; his daughter, Mandy Shackelford (Rich) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; his son, Matt McReynolds (Trina) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Kaelyn, McClane & Cort Johnson; Spencer, Colton & Presley Struckman; Corinne, Aubrey & Kinsley Shackelford; and  Madeline & MacKenzie McReynolds.

Mike has enjoyed Table Rock Lake since his family's first visit in 1959.  Mike and Margy became full time residents at Table Rock Lake in 2011.  Mike then began a remodel and addition project at the “cabin,” a lifelong dream.  He had been creating a vacation playground for the kids and 12 grandkids with swings and a zipline.

Mike was a proud patriot.  He loved this country. His father was a WWII combat fighter pilot.  Mike did not truly understand all of his dad’s heroism until several years after his father’s death. WWII veterans held a special place in his heart.

If there is an honor roll for hard work and dedication, Mike would be at the top. His legacy is the family he has left behind. Mike’s value system influenced every aspect of his life; his high moral integrity, his response to others and his commitment to his family and goals.

Mike passed away suddenly on October 5, 2015 from a heart attack.  He had so many things yet to accomplish.  He and Margy were getting ready for another day of work at their beloved vacation cabin. Happy Trails Dad! He will be so very missed by his family; they too are “heart broken.”

A visitation will be held at Fohn Funeral home in Cassville, MO on Wednesday, Oct 7th from 5:00-6:00 pm. A celebration of life will be at the First Baptist Church of Forgan, Oklahoma on Friday, Oct 9th at 3:30 pm with interment immediately following at Forgan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Eagle Rock Volunteer Fire Department. They may be sent to Eagle Rock Fire Protection District In memory of Mike McReynolds, 30625 State Hwy 86, Eagle Rock, MO 65641 (417) 271-3642
