Sandra Diane Parker was born on September 18, 1943, to Frank and Mary Marshall in Lubbock, Texas. During her childhood,
the family moved from Lubbock to Shidler, Oklahoma, where Sandra attended school until her senior year. They later relocated
to Beaver, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Beaver High School in 1962.
It was in Beaver that Sandra met the love of her life, Reuben Parker—an encounter sparked when he accidentally backed into
her dad’s truck at the local café. Their memorable introduction became the beginning of a lifelong love story. Sandra and Reuben
were married on March 24, 1962, and built a beautiful life together as they raised their two children, Jeannie and Reuben Jr.
Sandra was a devoted wife and mother, staying home with her children until they began school. Once they were grown enough, she
embraced several entrepreneurial and community-centered roles. She owned the F & S Variety Store, later adding Sandy’s Ice Cream
Parlor. She continued serving the Beaver community by opening and operating the Tasty Freeze, where many locals fondly remember her
hamburgers, malts, and warm presence. Sandra eventually joined Reuben in his dedication to Beaver County, serving as a reserve
officer and dispatcher for the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office.
Family was the heart of Sandra’s world. She was blessed with five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought
her tremendous joy. She loved watching them grow, laughing with them, and celebrating the unique and wonderful individuals they became.
Her pride in them was endless.
Sandra was also a talented and creative soul. She enjoyed beadwork, pretty punch, crochet, painting ceramics, decorating cakes, and many
other crafts. Her hands were rarely still, and the beautiful pieces she created continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who cherish them.
On December 1, 2025, Sandra passed away at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; her parents, Frank and Mary
Marshall; and her sister, Marsha Skaggs. She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie and husband James Hale of Edmond, Oklahoma; her son,
Reuben and wife Dixie of Beaver, Oklahoma; grandchildren Kayce Hale, Kandra and husband Mark Novakowski, Kory Hale, Wil and wife Chelsea Parker, and Dalee and husband Kyle Johnson; and eleven great-grandchildren who lovingly carry her legacy forward.
Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her unwavering love for family, and her deep roots in the Beaver County community.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
