Selena Susanne Rice, born December 24, 1979, passed away on October 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, generosity, and quiet strength.
Selena grew up in Beaver, Oklahoma, attending Beaver schools through all 12 years until 1997. After finishing school, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she accepted Jesus as her Savior in the Church of the Firstborn- a decision that shaped her faith and remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Selena was an artist at heart- someone who saw beauty in places others overlooked. In 2006-2007 she attended the Milan Institute in Amarillo, Texas, where she studied hair and developed her natural gift for style, color, and expression. Her hands were talented, and her imagination endless.
She was a deeply likeable person; known for her warm spirit and the way she made people feel welcome just by being herself. Selena was also incredibly giving- one of those rare souls who would give the shirt off her back without hesitation id she thought someone needed it more.
Selena will me remembered for her creativity, kindness, her generosity, and the way she made life brighter for everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the art she created, the love she gave and the stories shared by those who were lucky enough to know her.
She is survived by four daughters: Sable Bias, Kyanna Rice, Emma Knoll, and Sophia Thomas. She is also survived by her parents, CW and Susie Thomas; her brothers Chris and Katelynn Thomas and Maecie; Clint and Dolcy Thomas; Quinley and Janie Sue; and her nephews Ashton and Jentson Hillcock. She is now reunited with her sister in heaven.
Service will be held at a future date
