Thad Wesley Turner

July 30, 1968 — December 11, 2021

Thad Wesley Turner was born July 30, 1968 to Ray and Sandy Turner in Beaver, Oklahoma. Sandy had hoped for a little girl and had picked out the name ”Tera.” Instead they had boy #3. His mother said he was a “holy terror” when he was small, always was a busy child and into everything.

Thad started kindergarten in Panhandle, Tx. He attended first through 12th grades in Balko, Oklahoma graduating in 1987. He worked at National Beef in Liberal, KS for a while. He moved o Amarillo, TX, and lived with his brother Tim working for a lawn service. After his Dad passed away, he moved to Turpin with his Mom. He began working for Seaboard where he worked for several years. He had various jobs doing lawn care as well as working at the Beaver County Nursing Home. He took a lot of pride in doing his jobs well. Probably his favorite was being a care giver for Jack Slatten before Jack passed away. Thad was so loved by Jackie Bob and he loved her and times spent with the Slatten’s at the Nursing Home. They had a very special friendship. After Jack and Jackie Bob passed away, Thad became a caregiver for his brother Todd. Thad was a hard working young man who would help anyone. He especially enjoyed helping his Mother even though sometimes he’d question what she wanted him to do. He had such a keen sense of humor. He had a way about him to always make everything better. He made everyone laugh. He was so honest to a fault but he would never say or do anything to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Thad’s favorite football teams were the OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. He even had season tickets for a few years to the Cowboy’s games. He was their biggest fan and always wore their logos whether it was his cap, tshirt or jacket.
Thad liked to play the care games of Gold and Gin Rummy with his Mother. He always felt bad when he beat her.
Thad was dearly loved by everyone, especially his great uncle Winfield Knight and his great Aunt Lenora Reddick.
Thad passed away December 11, 2021. He was predeceased by his brother Todd.

Todd and Thad are survived by their Mother, Sandy Turner of Beaver Ok. brother Tim Turner (Angie) of Sioux City, IA. One nephew Chandler (Lilly), two nieces Chaunci (Brooks) and Cassie (Josh), grand nieces and nephews of Amarillo, TX. Uncles- Otis (Carol), New Mexico, Jack (Mary Lou) and Mike of Beaver, OK, many cousins, and the Tuesday Bridge Players.
A combined graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Balko, OK on Monday January 10th 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ben Clubb officiating.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House in Amarillo, TX.
Both Todd and Thad have left a huge void in hearts of Family and Friends. No Mother should ever have to lose two sons in such a short time.
